So sad, but that flower won't ever turn into a fruit. In the case of pumpkins, the fruit comes before the flower.
I guess I have to start posting photos of my successful fennel crop. :-)

I thought, where ever there was a blossom (or flower) you get a pumpkin? Some one told me that if you remove all the flowers but one...that's how you get the biggest pumpkin....is it all lies boo hoo
